outdoor schooling
Udeskole (or outdoor schooling) originated in Denmark, Scandinavia in the 1950’s as part of preschool curriculum, for children ages 7 and under.
Finally in the 1990’s this education concept reached the UK (known here as Forest Schooling).
The benefits of Forest School is now becoming more recognised across the country but not everyone has access to this amazing resource.
At Udeskole Ltd we have adapted existing Forest school/outdoor learning activities so you can carry them out at home.

I known for dragging my family and friends out on long walks, whatever the weather, often getting lost! Growing up I spent a great deal of time outside and on long walks collecting various treasures, my pockets were always full.
Udeskole was born during the first lockdown (2020) while teaching my son about nature.I searched for portable products that could be reused again and again on our nature walks but could not find anything on the market.
I completed a diploma in Forest schooling and combined it with my degree and experience in design to create my first product - the nature tray.
I have always been passionate about nature and spending time outside. In particular I have a great love for trees, moss, and the marine world. When I am not at work you will find me in my happy places, out on long walks, spending time with my family, exploring woodlands, hiking or by the sea!

They feature simple, hand drawn illustrations to help children easily identify a variety of natures finest.
